What made you want to earn your dental hygiene?
I wanted to become a dental hygienist because I have always had an interest in healthcare and teeth. I have wonderful cousins who are dental hygienists, and they love their career. That inspired me to know in middle school that I wanted to pursue a job in the dental field. I love being a dental hygienist and my love and passion for the dental world grows more every day.
Why did you choose to do it at WVU?
I chose to attend WVU for a couple of reasons. The first reason is that I grew up in this beautiful state and hometown, so I knew I would have a great time here. The second reason is that I knew my class would be a small class that I would grow close with, and I would gain some best friends that I will have for a lifetime. The last and biggest reason was my friends and family have attended WVU and earned their own degrees here- including and most importantly my parents - who I could not have done this degree without their support behind me the whole way.
