Well, well, well, again it’s my honor to inform all WVU SOD alums of the exciting functions and events that are happening at the NUMBER 1 DENTAL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION in the WORLD.
In case you haven’t heard, we had a GREAT SPRING ALUMNI WEEKEND this past month. Almost two hundred of your closest friends and family came back for the festivities. Although there are many highlights of this event, certainly the awarding of the DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI and ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS are at the forefront, so I will begin by showing these very special award recipients with your PRESIDENT, Dr. MOE MOMEN.
Although any alum and their family are invited to all WVU SOD ALUMNI ASSOCIATION events, it has been a tradition to highlight the more senior members (if that sounds OK).
The picture below shows the Dental Class of 1970 who are now 55 years recipients. The ALUMNI ASSOCIATION also presents prizes (I like prizes), and you will see them with their MOUNTAINEER STATUES.
(By the way, next year will be my 55th.)
The fifty-year Dental Class of 1975 was the most represented, and the picture below shows the alums who were in attendance.
Certainly the Dental Hygiene Class of 1975 could not be outdone, and the picture below shows the VERY YOUNG and BEAUTIFUL members of that class.
By the way, THANKS to our communications director, Jessica Wilmoth, you can now browse all WVU SOD functions on SmugMug, which can be found at wvudental.smugmug.com.
One of the other special highlights of alumni weekend is the election of the new president and vice-president of our association. The new president is Dr. Mike George, and Vice-President is Matt Stump.
I will tell you more about these two amazing officers is future newsletters.
Look forward to seeing all alums at future school and alumni events, and as always, GOD BLESS YOU ALL & LET’S GOOOO MOUNTAINEERS!
