WVU home football games impact patient, visitor, staff parking on Morgantown campus

WVU will host the Duquesne Dukes on Saturday, Sept. 9, for the home opener of the 2023 football season. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.

Home football games disrupt normal parking and driving patterns on the WVU Medicine and WVU Health Sciences Center campus for patients, visitors, and staff. Facilities impacted include J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital, WVU Cancer Institute/Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center, Jon Michael Moore Trauma Center and Emergency Department, Physician Office Center, WVU Eye Institute, and Rosenbaum Family House.

Here's what you need to know:

Starting at 12 a.m. Friday morning (Sept. 8), Lot E and Lot B2 will be closed to all patients and visitors.
Starting at 3 p.m. on Friday afternoon (Sept. 8), all patients and visitors should park at the WVU Health Sciences Center (located behind the hospital) or at the Mountaineer II parking garage (entrance on Chestnut Ridge Road).
Starting at 4 p.m. on Friday afternoon (Sept. 8), the newly-created Lot F2 extension area will be restricted.
Starting at 5 p.m. on Friday evening (Sept. 8), the coned off spaces in the Ruby Memorial Hospital patient/visitor parking areas will be restricted.
Starting at 12 a.m. on Saturday morning (Sept. 9), all parking in front of Ruby Memorial and Children’s Hospital will be restricted.

Note the following:

Parking passes are available for those who will be working on game day; check with your leadership team.
The shuttle service will continue to be available until 8 a.m. on game day.
Ruby Memorial and Children’s Hospital will maintain emergency access for emergency vehicles before, during, and after the game.
