“WVU was an easy choice for me as I love our state and the people that live here.”

What is your hometown?

Summersville, West Virginia

Where did you earn your undergraduate degree?

Bachelor of Science in Biology, West Virginia Wesleyan College

Why did you want to become a dentist?

I knew I wanted to pursue dentistry at a very young age. It has always been a part of my life as my dad is a general dentist. I have always enjoyed watching him help his patients, whether it be to take them out of pain or to help give them a new smile.

Why do you feel dentistry is the right fit for you?

I have always believed that one of the most important traits one can have is confidence. I have seen many patients at private practices and here at the School of Dentistry that are not confident in their own smile. It has been very rewarding being able to help patients regain their smile as well as their confidence.

Why did you choose WVU?

I was born and raised in West Virginia and have always planned to stay here after I finished my education. WVU was an easy choice for me as I love our state and the people that live here.

Anything unique or interesting about you that others may not know?

I love to play golf, and the summer before my first year of dental school I qualified and competed in the West Virginia Amateur golf tournament.
