Explain a dental experience you will never forget.

There have been many exciting experiences throughout the four years. However, I don’t think I’ll ever forget the first patient I treated  and how their smile was transformed. The excitement and gratitude they gave for the final result proved to me why I chose this career. I love helping people make these transformations that allow individuals to have their confidence back and live their best life!

What made you want to earn your dental degree?

Dentistry allows me to enjoy the best of both worlds. I love how hands-ons this field is and I get to help people everyday creating a smile they dreamt of. I finally get to see that when you enjoy what you are doing for a job it no longer feels like work. Every day is a new adventure and I’m very excited for the journey ahead!

What do you take the most pride in from your career at the School of Dentistry?

How prepared WV School of Dentistry made us as we entered the clinic our third year. I wasn’t sure why we needed to be so meticulous with the wax teeth and drilling on plastic teeth the first two years, but once we stepped into the clinic it all made sense! We get a well rounded education at West Virginia and we are so thankful for all the patients that travel to us from all over to allow us to get these experiences!
