Dental school alumni association supports students during finals

The West Virginia University School of Dentistry Alumni Association recognizes (and remembers) how stressful finals week is for dental and dental hygiene students. When the time rolls around, alumni demonstrate their support by providing food and snacks for students to refuel.

Third-year dental students present cases at national oral medicine conference

The curriculum at West Virginia University School of Dentistry includes an emphasis oral medicine through courses like oral microbiology and radiology, research, and principles of medicine. And over the past several years, students and faculty have had a presence at the AAOM’s annual conference invigorating their mission to promote overall wellness through dentistry.

Kiefer named director of faculty development for WVU Health Sciences

Christopher Kiefer, M.D., MSEd, has been appointed director of faculty development for WVU Health Sciences, effective July 1. He will assume the role following the retirement of Rashida Khakoo, M.D.
