Department of Dental Practice & Rural Health
Our School of Dentistry was a pioneer in the development of the rural rotation program. Students work alongside established dentists, in their practices, for six to eight weeks.
Overview
More than 90 dental offices across West Virginia welcome dental and dental hygiene students for several weeks at a time for their rural rotation. Students are given an opportunity to become intimately involved in the day-to-day dynamics which uniquely affect the management of rural private dental practice.
