-Our clinics will be limited to emergent services for the next two weeks, through Friday, April 17. Please see below regarding your work schedule during this time:
- If you have been working entirely from home, you will continue to work entirely from home unless advised otherwise by your supervisor;
- If you are a WVU Medicine employee and you were sent home due to low patient census, you will continue to be at home unless advised otherwise by your supervisor;
- If you have continued to report to work each day, you will continue to report to work each day unless advised otherwise by your supervisor;
- If you have been working on a part-time or rotational basis as scheduled, you will continue a part-time/rotational schedule as instructed unless advised otherwise by your supervisor.
Thank you for your patience, understanding, and support. In summary, if your supervisor has communicated a schedule to you for the next two weeks, follow that schedule. If not, please see the above-noted information. If you have questions about your schedule, please contact your supervisor for any necessary clarification.

The Carruth Center, which provides psychological and psychiatric services to the West Virginia University community is providing services through telehealth and other online methods. The crisis/emergency response team is also in place.
If immediate assistance is needed, the Crisis Text Line is available by texting WVU to 741741 to reach a live, trained counselor. It is free, confidential, and 24/7.
Also, access to Morneau Shepell, a counseling service for online students, has been expanded to all WVU students. It can be accessed three different ways: download the free My SSP app from the App Store or Google Play; call 1.866.743.7732 from North America, 001.416.380.6578 outside North America; or visit https://us.myissp.com and select West Virginia University.
If you are experiencing a psychological/psychiatric emergency during operational hours (8:15 AM –4:45 PM), call 304-293-4431 and press the appropriate option. Emergency after hours services can be reached by calling 304-293-4431, x1.
Faculty, Staff, Residents
During the COVID-19 pandemic the Faculty Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) and Behavioral Medicine are providing brief emotional support sessions for faculty, staff and residents.
Brief Emotional Support Session
-Available 7:30 am to 7:30 pm
-Virtual meetings using Tele Session or Zoom Session
-It is not necessary to become an FSAP client.
-The three yearly sessions provided through FSAP benefits will not be used.

CDCA has been rescheduled for Monday, May 11. Senior dental hygiene students, please let your patients know about the new date. Please remember, these are unprecedented times and this date may need to be moved based on ever changing circumstances.
