Philip Saul, M.D., will be the special guest at an open forum for Health Sciences and WVU Medicine faculty, staff and students at noon on Thursday, Oct. 19, in the Okey Patteson Auditorium of the WVU Health Sciences Center. The topic will be, "WVU Medicine Children’s and the Health of West Virginia."

    Working in cooperation with the Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center Office of Interprofessional Education, representatives from the WVU School of Pharmacy, School of Public Health, School of Nursing, School of Medicine, School of Dentistry, WVU Cancer Institute and others will be involved in the WVU tobacco treatment training program. It is designed to have healthcare professionals be on the same page for evidence-based treatment of addiction.

Van Liere’s Influence on Medical Education in West Virginia.”

Digital impression equipment, lasers, 3-D imaging systems, oral cancer screening devices, advanced implant systems and more will be utilized at no financial cost to the dental school program.
