Heroin(e): A Community Screening and Conversation

November 16, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM

Launched in September as a Netflix original documentary short, “Heroin(e)” follows three women in Huntington, WV, as they fight the opioid epidemic in a city with an overdose rate 10 times the national average.

Following the screening will be a moderated panel discussion and audience Q&A with WVU representatives and local professionals currently working to address the opiate issue in the Morgantown area. Dr. Jeffrey Coben, Dean of the WVU School of Public Health, will moderate the discussion.

This event is hosted by WVU School of Public Health, Milan Puskar Health Right, the Monongalia County Health Department, WVU Collegiate Recovery, and West Virginia University Student Government Association. It is supported by West Virginia Public Broadcasting.
