A graduate dentist will earn a Master of Science degree and a specialty certificate from the WVU School of Dentistry Department of Endodontics.

The 30-month advanced education program prepares dentists for careers specializing in Endodontic clinical practice, teaching and research.

A graduate from the Endodontic specialty program will practice with the most modern techniques designed to save damaged or diseased teeth.

A patient experiencing pain stemming from the pulp tissue of a tooth would likely be referred to an Endodontist for treatment.

This program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association.

Endodontic Program Goals:

  1. Provide the education and training necessary for graduate dentists to practice in the specialty of Endodontics.
  2. Provide the basis for a specialist in Endodontics to achieve Board Certification in Endodontics.
