Master of Science Endodontics

The Department of Endodontics at West Virginia University offers a 34 month advanced education Master of Science program. It is designed to qualify dentists for careers in endodontic clinical practice, teaching and research.

General Practice Residency Program

Application Deadline: November 15, 2017

The West Virginia University School of Dentistry offers two general practice residency positions that are one year in duration. These positions provide advanced didactic experience in the sciences basic for dental practice, and a variety of hospital-related clinical experiences, not usually, included in a predoctoral dental school curriculum. In addition, experience is gained in the TEAM concept of oral health care delivery. The resident’s ability to understand the disease process and to treat the mentally and medically compromised patient is enhanced and expertise is gained in providing comprehensive oral health care in the hospital and family practice environment.

Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program

Application Deadline: October 16, 2017

The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at West Virginia University School of Dentistry conducts an Advanced Educational Program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The program is approved by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association and is designed to meet the requirements of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Master of Science Orthodontics

Application Deadline: September 15, 2017

The Department of Orthodontics at West Virginia University offers a 34 month advanced education Master of Science program. The program models a private practice atmosphere with state-of-the-art clinical facilities. The curriculum is centered on daily clinical seminars and private instruction with each individual class. Also included are regularly scheduled orthognathic surgery conferences and seminars with other dental and medical specialists.

Master of Science Prosthodontics

Application Deadline: September 1, 2017

The Department of Restorative Dentistry at West Virginia University offers a program of advanced study and clinical training leading to the degree of Master of Science. The program requires a minimum of 34 months (three academic years and two summers) of full-time residency in the School of Dentistry. It is designed to qualify dentists for careers in prosthodontic clinical practice, teaching, and research.
