715 –Introduction to Community Dentistry: Lecture Series Spring Semester. Two credit hours Preparation to conduct needs assessment of individuals and groups, and perform program planning, implementation and evaluation. Field experiences are included. Wiener – Course Director

2nd year:
725 – Practice Management: Lecture Series Summer Session. One credit hour A lecture course designed to prepare dental students in the concepts of four-handed dentistry. Wiener – Course Director

775 – Practice Management: Clinical practice using auxiliaries, including those trained in expanded functions. Wiener – Course Director

3rd year:
730 - Community Dentistry: Lecture Series Spring Semester. Two Credit Hours Lectures provides a basic knowledge of the principles of dental public health practice. Emphasis on dental epidemiology and preventive dentistry at the community level. Students receive an in-depth orientation to the Rural Health Education Partnerships Program. 752 - Community Dentistry: Seminars, and Research Poster Presentation Fall & Spring Semester. Two Credit Hours. Introduction to professional communication in dentistry. Students select a topic to research and present findings and conclusions in a poster session. Wiener-Jurivec - Course Directors

771 - Dental Practice Management: Lecture Series Summer Session. Two Credit Hours. Fundamentals of practice management, including design, organization and development of the practice, personnel and financial management. Meckstroth - Course Director

778 – Law and Ethics in Dentistry: Lecture Series Fall Semester. Two Credit Hours. Selected legal concepts and their relationship to the practice of Dentistry and will provide a core knowledge of ethical issues in dentistry, and teach students the process of ethical decision making. 4th year:
767 - Community Dentistry: Rural Health Fall, Spring Semester. One Credit Hour Field experience in various aspects of community health. Meckstroth - Course Director
