Your Child's First Appointment
Before your child's first appointment, you will register at the front desk and will be asked to complete a medical and dental history of your child. This information is necessary to provide your child with the safest and most complete dental care possible. The child's parent or legal guardian must accompany their child to their first appointment.
If recent x-ray films are available from another office, please arrange to bring them to your first appointment. Also, please bring any other pertinent medical information.
At your child's initial appointment, a complete dental examination and facial profile development evaluation will be completed. Necessary x-rays will be taken and a cleaning and topical fluoride treatment may be performed. If it is determined that your child will need orthodontic correction, an orthodontic screening can also be arranged. Then, a treatment plan will be completed and presented to the parent for approval and signature.
