The WVU School of Dentistry Student Clinic is dedicated to training future dental professionals and providing affordable, comprehensive oral health care to adults and children of all ages. Specialty services, such as Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry, are readily available to Student Clinic patients. To ensure the highest quality care, students provide treatment under the direct supervision of experienced faculty.
As a result of the thoroughness and personal attention provided by faculty and students, the overall time to complete treatment may be considerably longer than it would be in a private practice. Fees in the student clinic have been significantly reduced in appreciation for contributions to our educational programs.
Student clinic appointments are available Monday through Friday and are normally scheduled from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
Urgent dental care is available on a walk-in, first-come, first-served basis in the dental school Urgent Care Clinic. These services are available from Monday through Friday during normal business hours. A $75 prepayment is collected at the time of registration. Patients who experience an urgent dental problem after normal business hours are encouraged to report to the Urgent Care Clinic during the next business day.
For after hours emergencies that require immediate attention, patients may call the WVU Healthline at 1-800-982-8242 to discuss the problem and arrange treatment.
Dental Hygiene Student Clinic
In addition to the clinical services described above, the dental hygiene program offers a large scope of services for patients treated in the student clinic.
