You are about to enroll in the Phase 1 online training for the Medical Infant & Child Oral Health Program course. This course is required for any primary care physician and their medical ancillary personnel (PA, NP, LPN, CMA) whose office is planning to be paid by WVCHIP or Medicaid for the oral health assessment and fluoride varnish application for children under 3 years old.
The training will occur in two phases. The first phase, this online training course must be successfully completed with an exam score of no less than 80%. Individuals will have two opportunities to pass this exam. It is to be stressed that the participant will not be successful unless they read all the material and view the videos.
Once you have successfully completed this course, a certificate of completion for the first phase will be mailed to you using the address you supplied on registering for this course. The Component Dental Society for your region will be notified to contact you to schedule Phase 2 training within 60 days. This training will take no more than 1 hour and must be completed in order to qualify for payment by WV CHIP and Medicaid. Once this training is complete, the appropriate authorities will be notified and you can begin to bill and be paid for this care.
Recertification will be required once every 3 years and you will be notified using the contact information we will have been provided by you.

You will not receive your certificate nor will you be able to complete Phase 2 training unless this payment has been made.
