Caitlin Stover and Brittney Fuccy (DH Class '13) were awarded first place for their research project, "CAMBRa: Prevention of the World's Most Common Chronic Disease" during the 48th Annual WVU Robert C. Byrd Health Science Center Van Liere Convocation and Research Day. Students along with post doctoral fellows, clinical fellows, professional students, residents and faculty from all health sciences Schools were encouraged to present their research for judging.
Students were expected to provide a brief oral presentation of their research including the potential implications for human health.
Research posters were judged on scientific approach, clarity and quality of delivery, effectiveness of graphics and visual aids, an understanding of the research subject, individual role in project, and handling of questions. Catilin and Brittneys' project won the undergraduate division in the first year that the School of Dentistry participated in the Van Liere Convocation and Research Day.
