Hillary Homburg, DDS
Hello, I am Dr. Hillary Homburg and I graduated from West Virginia University School of Dentistry in 2009. I completed a GPR residency program in Ohio State University in 2010. In 2011 I was named Rural Health Care Provider of the Year by the WV Rural Health Association.
My office address is Cabin Creek Community Health Center, 107 Koontz Avenue, Clendenin WV 25045. The office phone number is (304) 548-2160. The office has 2 operatories with digital radiographic equipment. There is 1 chair side assistant and 1 front office/alternate chair side assistant. We are able to accommodate left handed students.
The CHC serves the small town of Clendenin and the many small rural communities in the region. Clendenin, with a population of 1,200, is located along the Elk River 30 minutes from Charleston in Kanawha County. The Clendenin Health Center is one of five primary care health centers owned and operated by Cabin Creek Health Systems which is a non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). In addition to dental services, the Clendenin Health Center provides comprehensive health care services including pediatrics, adult & geriatric care, pharmacy services, behavioral health and perinatal/obstetrical care. The Health Center is in the former Clendenin High School, built almost 100 years ago and recently renovated, following historic preservation guidelines. In addition to the health center, the facility includes apartments for seniors, a daycare center and a gymnasium for community use.
Clendenin Health Center serves a rural patient population. We view oral health as a part of whole person health. Our focus is on prevention and education. It is our goal to have the patient become responsible for his or her oral health care and to educate parents to assist with oral health of children. given the high rate of tobacco use in our sericive area, smoking cessation is also given a major emphasis..
To minimize financial barriers to care, CCHS provides medical and dental services on a sliding-fee basis to uninsured patients and the majority of our dental patients are uninsured. We provide a safe, comfortable and respectful environment for all our patients regardless of ability to pay.
In addition, Cabin Creek Health Systems serves as the Area Health Education Center for this region and, as such, offers clinical rotations and preceptorships for a wide range of health profession students including medical students, nurse practitioner, physician assistant and medical assistant students, pharmacist & psychology students as well as dental students.
