Susanna Walker, DDS
Hello, I am Lynn C. Gilbert. I graduated the University of Tennessee, Memphis dental school in 1988 and from Harvard University in 1989 with a Masters in Public Health. I was an Assistant Professor, Pre-Clinical studies at Tufts University Dental School from 1989-1992 and part time from 1992-1993. I was a Clinical Assistant Professor at WVU SOD from 1996-1998. I have been in practice in 1988. Dr. Walker graduated from WVU School of Dentistry in 2011.
I practice at the Calhoun Dental Clinic which is in the Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center located at 186 Hospital Drive, Grantsville WV, 26147. The dental clinic phone number is (304) 354-6144. There are 4 modern operatories designed for sit-down dentistry. There is a parallel-long cone in each operatory and a panerex. The office provides care on a sliding fee for residents of Gilmer & Calhoun counties and widely participates in all insurance plans.
Grantsville is a rural community in Calhoun County which has less than 7,500 residents. The draw from surrounding counties is significant. Facilities such as stores, churches, schools are very limited since this is a rural environment. We are able to accommodate both right and left handed students.
There is 1 full time hygienist, 1 full time assistant, 1 full time dental assistant/office manager and 1 full time receptionist.
Our philosophy of practice is that we are a public health oriented practice. We focus on basic services at affordable rates. We have a sliding fee based upon the patient’s ability to pay.
To reach our clinic, take I79 South and take Exit 78 (Burnsville). Turn right on Route 5 toward Glenville. Follow Route 5 to Grantsville by turning right at light in Glenville. When in Grantsville, at the flashing yellow light, turn right and follow hospital signs to Minnie Hamilton Health Care Inc. Then follow the signs to the dental clinic. From Morgantown the distance is 125 miles and should take about 2 hours.
