David E. Harman, DDS
Petersburg, WV

My name is David E. Harman. I am a 1987 graduate of the West Virginia University School of Dentistry and I completed a General Practice Residency at CAMC in 1988.  I hold a BA degree in biology and a Masters in Highrer Education, also from WVU.

My office is located at 14 South Main Street, PO Box 279, Petersburg, WV 26847 and my phone number is (304) 257-4770. The office is on the second floor of a historical building that has been in my family since early 1900. My father practiced dentistry here for 45 years and retired in 1991. W have remodeled in stages and greatly increased the size of the original space. We continue to make changes and replace equipment and furnishing as needed to provide an attractive and functional environment for patients and staff. There are three operatories at this time. We are opened Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, 9;00-5:00.

Petersburg is a rural community of about 2,500 in the city limits and a business draw of approximately 12,000.00

Our mission is to provide high quality dentistry. We have been doing just that for over 25 years and hope to continue to improve.  My staff is the greatest! I'm sure you will enjoy them and find them to be kind, funny, helpful and best of all, they keep me in line!!

We treat patients of all ages and offer a wide variety of services. There are no dental specialists in the area so we have worked hard to become proficient, safe and successful at many procedures that would otherwise be referred to a specialist.  However, referral is always an option to our patients if they don't mind traveling. Currently, we refer all orthodontic cases.

To reach the office from Morgantown, take I68 East. Take the Friendsville exit-Deep Creek Lake, Oakland, MD or Deer Park Road. Go to Lock Lynn, to Mt Storm to Scheer and to Petersburg.  We are downtown, just south of the Main Street and Virginia Avenue intersection, across the street from Cline's Furniture. The entrance door is on the left. The distance is about 100 miles and should take about 2 hours driving time.

Please feel free to call or e-mail us with any questions you may have about your rotation.  We can send you a detailed travel map to Petersburg upon your request. My e-mail is  docdave@hardynet.com
