2014 Spring Alumni Weekend

 Join us in Morgantown!

On behalf of the WVU School of Dentistry and the Alumni Association, we invite you to Morgantown to renew old friendships and build new relationships. Alumni Weekend is a fun way to reconnect and reminisce with classmates and interact with your colleagues from West Virginia and the surrounding areas. We welcome all alumni and friends to sign up for golf, attend the Friday night banquet, and participate in a great day of continuing education at the Health Sciences Center.

We look forward to seeing you in April!

CE Course: Dr. Clarence C. & Maxine Davis Cottrill Endowed Lecture, "Decisions for Extensively Damaged Dentition" with Guest Speaker Winston W.L. Chee, DDS, FACP

Course Description
With the high success of dental implant integration, the clinician is faced with choosing the appropriate method of replacing missing teeth and in some situations deciding to remove teeth in favor of placing an implant to support a restoration. Patient presentations and a review of the literature will illustrate the efficacy of implants to provide stable and lasting support for restorations.
This presentation will allow participants to develop a framework to make decisions on selecting the method of support for replacement teeth, i.e. mucosa, teeth or implants. The variables that drive decisions will be presented with as much support from the literature as possible.
Where esthetics is of primary concern the parameters that affect the esthetics of implant supported restorations will be addressed, where function is of primary concern the biomechanical aspects of implant supported restorations will be addressed.

Guest Lecturer: Winston W.L. Chee, DDS, FACP
