As we near the end of winter, the spring activities of the Alumni Association will be here before we know it. The activities are scheduled for Friday April 29, and Saturday April 30, 2011. Again this year the 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, and 50 year reunion classes are especially encouraged to attend the reunion banquet.

The School of Dentistry is again having the “Frank Stevens Golf Spectacular” on Friday April 29 of alumni weekend at the Pines Country Club. A separate mailing will be sent to all alumni with the details of this event. Plan to participate.
Friday evening's banquet at Lakeview will be a combined buffet for all classes. Charges will be $35.00 per person for Alumni Association members and guests. The charge for non-members will be $45.00 per person and guest. Please make checks payable to: School of Dentistry Alumni. Indicate your membership status and number of persons on the enclosed slip and return it with your check to Dr. Norton Smith, WVU School of Dentistry Alumni, PO Box 9410, Morgantown, WV 26506-9410.
On Saturday April 30, the School of Dentistry and the Alumni Association will be co-sponsoring the Dr. Clarence C & Maxine Davis Cottrill Endowed Lecture, a CE course to be held at the Health Sciences Center. Table clinics winners will present from noon through the Post CE reception. Vendor exhibits will be open all day.
The spring course will be presented by Dr. John Svirsky. Dr. Svirsky is Professor of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology at Virginia Commonwealth School of Dentistry. Oral diseases are dramatized with emphasis on recognition, diagnosis, and treatment. Bio information, registration information, and a description of this course will follow in a separate mailing from the CE office.
A Post-course reception will be held immediately after the CE course in the Commons area of the Learning Center. Reunion class members who are not able to attend the CE course are welcome to attend this reception.
