WVU School of Dentistry Reunion Weekend

Dear Alumni and Friends,

As we near the end of winter, the spring activities of the Alumni Association will be here before we know it. The activities are scheduled for Friday April 23, and Saturday April 24, 2010. Again this year the 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, and 45 year reunion classes are especially encouraged to attend the reunion banquet. A schedule of planned activities is enclosed.

The School of Dentistry is again having the “Frank Stevens Golf Spectacular” on Friday April 23 of alumni weekend. A separate mailing will be sent to all alumni with the details of this event. Plan to participate.

Friday evening's banquet at Lakeview will be a combined buffet for all classes. Charges will be $35.00 per person for Alumni Association members and guests. The charge for non-members will be $45.00 per person and guest. Please make checks payable to: School of Dentistry Alumni. Indicate your membership status and number of persons on the enclosed slip and return it with your check to Dr. Norton Smith, WVU School of Dentistry Alumni, PO Box 9410, Morgantown, WV 26506-9410.

On Saturday April 24, the School of Dentistry and the Alumni Association will be co-sponsoring the Dr. Clarence C & Maxine Davis Cottrill Endowed Lecture, a CE course to be held at the Health Sciences Center. Table clinics will be presented immediately after the CE course in the restorative clinic. Vendor exhibits will be open all day.

The spring course will be presented by Dr. Stanley F. Malamed. Dr. Malamed is Professor of Anesthesia & Medicine at the USC School of Dentistry. The course will cover emergency medicine for both dentists and the office staff. Bio information, registration information, and a description of this course will follow in a separate mailing from the CE office.

Dental Units Dedication and Table Clinic presentations will be held at 3:45 pm in the restorative clinic. A Post-course reception will be held at 4:00 pm in the Commons area of the Learning Center. Reunion class members who are not able to attend the CE course are welcome to attend this reception.
